American Way of Life Magazine (AWOL) is currently waiting for the Media Board’s decision. If AWOL is approved, the first issue will be out by the end of February. Additionally, an official Web site will be launched.
Our first issue is completely finished. We will (with the Media Board’s compliance) distribute copies in a few weeks.
In our first issue we examined the theme of “trapped”. Whether politically, socially, or economically, many individuals and groups are trapped in structures and institutions that seem inescapable. This issue looks at how people and groups can escape from the shackles of social construction and political power.
Our second issue’s theme is “sold”. We’ll be taking a look at mass-marketing, commercialism, piracy, gentrification, among many other encompassing topics. There are many stories still available for this issue. E-mail us for more information or pitch us an idea of your own!
